The Emblem of Impermanence
Created as the initial study piece for the โLaughing in the Face of Deathโ series in 2006 – Subsequent calligraphy was added in 2009 when it was sent to exhibit with Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy in Moscow.
The Tsugtung style calligraphy that runs across the rust red background of the skull, translates as:
โThe Four Dharma Emblems’ – เฝเฝผเฝฆเผเฝเพฑเฝฒเผเฝฆเพกเฝผเฝเผเฝเฝเฝฒเผเฝเฝฒเผ :
โข All conditioned things are impermanent.
โข Everything that deteriorates is suffering.
โข Nirvava is peace.
โข All things are selfless and open.
