Homage Mudra
This art piece illustrates a large Wartu Sanskrit word namo, meaning homage, as if held like a flower from the tips of the fingers.
Although the hands are depicted like classical stylised Buddhaโs hands, the arms are clad with a Western style shirt and even a watch strapped to the wrist. This intentional modernisation, meeting East with West, is to say that we all have Buddha nature, which ever creed, colour or culture we belong.
This prayer mudrฤ is an aspiration prayer to ones own potential of realising Buddha nature we already have.
