Cloud

Inspired by a typically stylised cloud which features throughout Tibetan iconography, such as in decoration and thangka painting.

This adaptation expresses big and bold with a meditative approach and application, to create a fresh and lively piece, which echos the integral tradition such a stylised cloud belongs.

As a concept and design, this large piece, simply called ‘Cloud,’ has, since its creation in 2002, been lifted, copied, and reused many times, ignoring international copyright law. It has appeared as personal tattoos around the globe and has been taken as a popular logo choice for hotels, restaurants and shops spotted far and wide across the Himalayan countries, such as Nepal and Bhutan. It has also appeared on commercial packaging for incense and herbal remedies, as interior hotel decoration in China and on merchandise of all kinds.
