Winter Solstice Optimism

With the equinox turning point on the day of the Winter Solstice, gives hope and optimism – that from now onwards, days will (very slowly at first) get longer and brighter.

The words ‘Winter Solstice’ in Tibetan are เฝ‘เฝ‚เฝดเฝ“เผ‹เฝ‰เฝฒเผ‹เฝฃเพกเฝผเฝ‚ scribed here in a rather thick white ink on a black inked background suggesting a an overcast winters day. Finished with a disc of โ€˜moon goldโ€™ to illuminate a cooler winters sun, the narative being the light of hope shining in the dark of ignorance.

Completed on the Winter Solstice – 22nd December 2023
