Primordial Purity, Golden World
Originally created for the International Sharjah Calligraphy Biennial in the United Arab Emirates.
The uppermost line of Tibetan cursive script looms in the sky translates as ‘universal, common ground of primordial purity‘.
While in the riches of the earth below, symbolised by floral swirls of gold and copper bounty, are black letters that translate as ‘the mythological golden basis of our known world, glorious and magnificent‘.
The innate purity within every person experiences the majesty of the universe. This interrelationship between heaven and earth catalyses creativity of humankind.
