Hum Jyo – Yab Yum protectors

hum and jyo – free brushed in the Uchen script. These are the two seed syllables of the protection deities Mahakala as the yab and his yum Mahakali.

Below is scribed using a traditional cut bamboo pen is their mantra. Depicted in both Lantsa Sanskrit and Uchen equivalent.

This illustrates one of the earliest calligraphy artworks in this archive, created on the first of September 2000.
