Exalted Elevation Tibetan calligraphy
The โexalted’ are revered as the noble ones who inspire those on the path of perfection and awakening.
This Tibetan Calligraphy piece is created in a particular long legged letter style called *ย tsugring, normally reserved for official documents and honorific titles.
The translation of this piece literally means โto move upโ just like those who elevate through theย bhumisย – meaning โgroundโ, as the ground is the support for everything, each level supports different enlightened qualities.
To illustrate this, the top portion of the letters in deep azurite blue are highlighted with sparkling gold flakes. Composed on a background wash of saffron, which has antiseptic qualities of purification and therefore symbolic of cleanliness.
*ย tsugring is a Tibetan Calligraphy style characteristically long and upright. Because it take particular skill to pull the long straight, even strokes of this letter form, it is usually the first of the many Tibetan script styles to be learned and mastered, taming the young hand for controlled steady penmanship.
