Like Mirages and Water-bubbles

A much loved quote from the vajra-cahidaka-nāma-mahāyāna Sutra

This particular version is from Dege Kangyur #19 vol 34 – ‘perfection of wisdom’ ༼ཀ༽ ཤེས་རབ་ཀྱི་ཕ་རོལ་ཏུ་ཕྱིན་པ་རྡོ་རྗེ་གཅོད་པ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ཐེག་པ་ཆེན་པོའི་མདོ།

Created as a Tibetan calligraphy study piece, in Tibetan Umé script and playfully decorated with many of Tashi’s round seals to resemble bubbles:

སྐར་མ་རབ་རིབ་མར་མེ་དང་།

Like stars, mist and candle flames,

སྒྱུ་མ་ཟིལ་པ་ཆུ་བུར་དང་།

mirages, dew-drops and water bubbles.

རྨི་ལམ་གློག་དང་སྤྲིན་སྟ་བུར།

Like dreams, lightning and clouds,

འདུས་བྱས་ཆོས་རྣམས་དེ་ལྟར་ལྟ།།

in this way will I view all composite phenomena.
