Water Tiger – art print
Created in celebration of the Chinese/Tibetan Year of the Water Tiger, this composition illustrates the less likely juxtaposed relationship of feline and water. Dynamic, both strong and sensitive, the tiger is depicted fearlessly, if not comfortably, wading the creative fluidity of water, pushing past the venerable lotus leaves and high standing lotus flowers, blooms in magenta and the rare blue utpala lotus of a peaceful pure realm. This places this tiger in its natural habitat of the Far East.
The original artwork was painted using techniques of traditional Tibetan thangka painting, yet less conventional in representation – the tiger and his pose with clumps of lotus plants, is more realistic, contemporary, in character.
Due to popular demand, this artwork has been made available as a special limited edition of 22.
Each print is hand signed, edition numbered and stamped with the artist red seal.
