The Four Noble Truths of Dharma
The Four Noble Truths འཕགས་པའི་བདེན་པ་བཞི་ are considered fundamental to teachings of Buddha. Taught by Buddha Shakyamuni as the first ‘turning of the wheel of the Dharma’ after his attainment of enlightenment.
Composed as a garland of letters in Tsugtung script. Each Noble Truth (or reality) is highlighted in earth red mineral paint. These are:
1. The truth of Suffering
2. The truth of Origin
3. The truth of Cessation
4. The truth of the way/path.
