Supplication to Guru Rinpoche – art print
In the sky above joyous rainbow clouds is the mantra of Padmasambhava:
oṃ āḥ hūṃ vajra guru padma siddhi hūṃ༔ illuminated in ancient Lantsa Sanskrit.
His seed syllable hūṃ༔ is emblazoned on a radiating golden disk at the centre of the art piece in the classical Uchen script. Below which are three supplication prayers scribed in Petsug script, each headed with small gold disks extolled with the ‘great perfection’ syllable ཨ་
Dusum Sangye, Supplication to Padmasambhava –
Buddhas of the three times, Guru Rinpoche Lord of siddhis, Great Bliss, Dispeller of all obstacles, Wrathful Tamer of Mara, I supplicate you, bestow your blessing. Pacify the outer, inner, and secret obstacles, And spontaneously fulfil all wishes.
Orgyen Rinpoche, Supplication to Padmasambhava –
Precious master of Uddiyana, I supplicate you; May obstacles and misfortune not arise. May good conditions be gathered and our wishes fulfilled. Bestow the supreme and ordinary siddhis.
The Seven-Line Prayer Supplication to Padmasambhava –
On the northwest border of the country of Uddiyana, On the anthers of a lotus flower, You attained as the Lotus Born. Surrounded by a retinue of many dakinis, Following you, I will reach accomplishment. Please come and bestow your blessing. guru padma siddhi hūṃ༔
