Fire Horse

2026 is the year of the Male Fire Horse, celebrated for all its dynamic glory.

This artwork was especially created in design and painting technique of the Tibetan Karma Gadri Thangka painting tradition.

Depicting a leaping horse in flaming flight through a celestial realm of bejewelled rainbow clouds, with  sun and the moon gilded in palladium and Indian lemon gold leaf.

The inspiration for this piece is based on Chinese imperial badges, which are traditionally heavily silk embroider textiles, originally worn as an insignia of rank and title.
