om ah hum coloured soft

This piece was commissioned as a meditation aid for the visualisation of the three syllables oṃ āḥ hūṃ of Body, Speech and Mind in there respective colours or white, red and blue.

As visualisation is taught to be engendered as nothing solid but lucid rainbow like during meditation. It is somewhat of a challenge to portray and inspire such transparent qualities with the limitations of ink on paper.

For this reason, the warm Natural colour of Bhutanese desho paper was chosen in contrast to the reflective qualities of mica inks, to give a soft iridescent glow to the syllables on their halo like discs of corresponding colours.
